Overview

The PC is running winXP professional sp2.

Apart from the applications there is a framework. It consist of the following components:

Network

The mediaplayer updates its library with CD info. This is done thru internet.

The tracking application updates position on ftp server via internet connection.

When maintenance work is done with external computer that PC is connected via USB ethernet board. (well, sometimes an autorun CD if there is just a copy of an ini file or something that is needed to be done)

Voice Control

The navigator gives directions

Roadrunner speaks when changing menu etc.

Navigator takes address and such as voice input

Tracking and GPS

The GPS receiver together with GPSgate and GooPs supplies tracking information and positioning data for Navigator

Roadrunner

The skin application.

OOFE

My own front end

Remote Control

With a small application a numeric pad or the telephone working as remote control, text can be entered sms style in any text field

Volume Control

There are a number of volume controls.

Gesture
Will not be used since there is no touch screen

OSK (On-Screen-Keyboard)
Will not be used

Text to Voice        
Well, that would be reading sms out loud. I do not think I will use that, even if it is simple enough to add.
