BOAT DESIGNS


There are free drawings (as DXF-files) available for these concepts in a number of different sizes.
For every size there will be drawings available for either a strip-planked hull or a plywood clinker hull (triple-chine).
The sailing rigs can be either gaff/sprit or batwing versions.

STELLA

The STELLA concept is a one-man sloop where you sit on the inner bottom. A plywood inner bottom should be attached in the seating area with polyuretane foam between.  She will be available in five sizes.

There will be drawings available for either a strip-planked hull or a plywood clinker hull (triple-chine).The sailing rigs can be either gaff or batwing versions.
A steelplate centreboard with a steel bulb makes her quite stable despite the small size. The steering is done with a rope attached to the tiller and going around the seating area.

COREEN

The COREEN concept is a one-man sloop with not a sharp front size.   She will be available in five sizes.

There will be drawings available for a plywood clinker hull .The sails are only gaff versions.
A steelplate centreboard makes her enough stable despite the small size.

BRIDGET

The BRIDGET concept is a wider and simpler alternative to STELLA.  The centreboard is made of plywood, not steel, and for that reason the hull is made wider to improve the stability. The BRIDGET 82 can use the centreboard, rudder and rig from an OPTIMIST dinghy.

The 82 and 94 have no thwarts, just an extra piece of plywood to sit on in the rear area. And it should be PU-foam between the bottom and that plywood part. But the 108 and 125 will have thwarts. There will be drawings available for either a strip-planked hull or a plywood hull (single-chine).The sailing rigs can be either spritsail or batwing versions, and the 125 will also have a jib sail.

The SONIA concept is a bigger version of STELLA with thwarts, available in four sizes. The hullshape, rig and other details are quite similar to STELLA.

There will be drawings available for either a strip-planked hull or a plywood clinker hull (triple-chine). The sailing rigs can be either gaff or batwing versions. The steering can be done either with a common tiller, or with rope-steering just like the STELLA project.

This model is a bit similar to GRACE, one of the different things is that GRACE has a flat bottom, but the rear part goes up a bit. And on RHIANNON the forward bottom also goes up a bit.

GRACE

The GRACE concept has a flat plywood bottom and a strip-planked side. It is a little bit wider then the other concepts, and that makes it a bit more stable. 
The main-sail is the batwing version. The two 80/90 versions shall have an inner plywood bottom to sit on, with polyuretane foam between the bottom 
plywood and the inner plywood. The sizes from 100 will have thwarts. And the three biggest versions 160/180/200 will have two masts.

I have made the Shannon 200 wider, so it is no longer a stretched version on 175.
