What We Offer You..

  • Full service marine consultancy for managing you next yacht building project in China. We do not offer the services by any yard, but the few ones we have seen a result that they are good, reliable and produce products with a quality standard which meets up with the demands we have in the western world. Our yards can offer you sailing and motor yachts from small crafts to mega yachts in +100 feet. Primarily made in GRP but also round bilged steel. You can go for only one construction, so called one-off, up to serial manufacturing.

  • An opportunity to become partners with a brand new yard in Zhanjiang, Southern China.  50.000 sqm of land has already been purchased and the yard is just waiting for your participation to tailor the production facilities according to your needs. The yard's owner does not necessarily need capital investments, as the in-house financial strength is extremely solid. We merely seek contact with a western company for joint venture. By natural reasons we have not seen the production quality here, but their financial strength makes it possible to look for the best workers and craftsmen money can buy. The management aim high and have targeted to be on top position in the world when production line has started. Also they are prepared to offer fantastic building warranties which looks  something like "pay when pleased".   Our yards are strictly focused on the international market and have no particular interest in the domestic sales.  If you bring down a yacht model which might have a market on the home turf, well they can surly change this direction.

  • First just a few words on doing business in China - Unlike many other places in the world, in China the personal relations between the partners are very important.  It is not just a matter of mathematical formulas but also to build up a  spiritual agreement. which is rather difficult to explain. The advantage by using our services is this is a stage we already have passed, and your company will be taken care of like ours once was. This perhaps sounds a little strange but might be the single most important factor for using us.

  •  To be able to obtain the fundamental needs of a successful co-operation is the ability to communicate. Our yards have key persons speaking fluently English also when comes to nautical terms. This sounds perhaps a little minor problem, but is extremely important. In many cases the first connection between client and yards is also the last one as no-one speaks English. The staff here speaks fluent Swedish, English and German. Italian and Finnish can also be arranged.

  • We at ScandiMarine Ltd. are working very close with Mr. Peter Portmann of Zurich, Switzerland. He is a lading yacht and ship surveyor, boat builder and yacht market analyzer, with particular knowledge in mega yachts. Together we are frequently visiting the yards in China and can conduct certain surveys or whatever needed for the project to run smoothly.

  • Finally a few words....  This web site has been created to give you a guidance on the possibilities to either build your next yacht in China or an entire relocation of your own facilities. In our opinion, the established and well-known yards in e.g. Europe, only have one advantage over their Chinese colleagues. It is the name, nothing else really. That name, their marketing, with dragging five big yachts to Dusseldorf boat show, Courtesy cars, VIP lounges, Flashy offices, Year around centre page ads in Yachting World, Huge and expensive dealer's databases,  Plenty of expensive managers, etc, etc..  The buyer is paying all these additional costs and it will be put on top of the yacht purchased  - Without getting a single boat quality for the money. If you then consider that you pay considerably less money for the labor costs, much less for the peripheral costs, so the equation is very easy... and remember there are no profits gained in paying an over price when buying and getting an over price when selling, versus buying for under price and selling for under price.
