| AMBIANCES
This work for stringquartet
and tape composed 1994, is made up like a succesion of stylisticly and
expressivly
contrasting sonorous
ambiances which are comming to suggest different states of mind.
These rhythmic-melodic-
, harmony- , tempo- , character- and playing technics contrasts create
a varied palette
of pulses and tensions
which are offering resiliance to the form and to the work density and dynamism.
The sound material
of the tape is conceived in close correlation with the soundscape of the
stringquartet ,
it represents a filtered
and distortioned/metamorphosed projection of the musical material of the
stringquartet.
The tape was realised
in the electroacoustic music studios at the Royal University College in
Stockholm. |
