OPTICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The projector light source is a 100 W xenon lamp bulb
With pure xenon gas under high pressure in a quartz glass bulb
Fitted with an ellipsoid dichroic filter for radiated heat
Resulting in a beam of light that is "cooler"

The performance lifetime of the xenon lamp is at least 500 hours
It provides a daylight colour temperature of about 6000° K
It is equivalent to the temperature of the solar surface
It gives a colour rendering index CRI that is higher than 95
It has a continuous light output within the visible spectral range
It attains full luminous flux almost immediately after ignition
The effective “burn time” of the lamp bulb is automatically recorded

The pure white light passes a spring steel aperture of 0.5 mm
The narrow beam is then filtered through an interference filter
The interference filter transmits light between 400 nm and 700 nm
The monochromatic light output is continuous within this range
The bandwidth of the monochromatic light is less than 15 nm

The monochromatic light passes a circular double matted diffuser
It then enters a spherical light dome 400 mm in diameter
The dome is on the inside uniformly painted in non-fluorescent white
The radiation is homogenous in all directions within the dome
The light in the dome has an average irradiance of 0,2 W/m2
It has an average inside illuminance between 30 and 130 Lx
No distorting shadows or perspectives disrupt the visual field
This creates a total Ganzfeld effect in complete 3-d surrounding.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS

All controls, timers and displays in the projector are analogue
The green button (POWER) switches on the projector
The yellow button (XENON) ignites the xenon lamp and the fans
The red button (STOP) stops the xenon lamp
The lamp service meter displays hours and 1/100 hours

The xenon lamp is briefly ignited at 25.000 V by high voltage
It thereafter operates at 12 V DC fed by the power supply
It has a constant light output during lamp service time
It automatically cuts off 10 or 5 (± 5%) min after ignition
It permits immediate re-strike even when it is hot

The power supply and lamp starter automatically adjusts itself to external conditions
It operates nominally at either 230 or 115 V AC
It operates nominally at either 50 or 60 Hz
It has a current ripple of less than 4%
It is shielded from the mains by an electronic filter
It is protected against internal short circuitry
It is protected by an internal auto reset thermal cut off

Lamps with pressurized xenon gas generate quite a lot of heat
Four efficient and silent cooling fans operate in tandem to ensure sufficient cooling.
They automatically cut off after 10(± 5%) minutes after last lamp black out.

The projector is electrically grounded for safety
The projector is CE marked according to European conformity

The power cable supplied may be left naked on one end
You will then have to fit a standard plug used in your country
