24th Gothenburg Open
November 22-23, 2008
Arranged for the twenty-fourth time, Göteborg Open is a relaxed and
friendly Go tournament, held in the second largest city of Sweden.
Tournament
A five-round standard MacMahon tournament, open to all players. Japanese Rules.
Thinking time is one hour each and byo-yomi is 3x30 seconds.
Prizes
Prizes depend on the number of participants.

Location
The venue for the tournament is Örlogsvägen 57/Freses väg,
Nya varvet.
You can get to there from the city by tram no. 11, direction 'Saltholmen',
stop Nya Varvet. From the tram stop it is a ten minute walk to get to the
tournament building.

as your destination.
Transports
There are ferries from Kiel, Amsterdam and Fredrikshavn.
From Oslo you can go by bus, and of course, Göteborg is reachable by
train or air.
Accommodation
Sadly, we cannot offer accommodation near the playing site.
Finding a hotel is recommended. There are also
Youth Hostels at reasonable rates. A (very limited) number of people
can be privately accomodated. For the natives who offer private
accommodation, a 50 SEK discount will be given for each person accommodated.
Entry Fee
The entry fee is 250 SEK / 25 EUR for the tournament.
Tea and coffee is included in the fee. Please pay in SEK if possible.
