Hi folks!
I´ve had huge connection problems with this site,
but now everything works fine again so here´s some news for ya.
I have started working seriously now with the next Angel Blake album.
The status is this: I have shitloads of ideas. About 13 new strong foundations written. I have started on a daily basis to make complete songs out of the ideas. And it´s going great! It´s too early to say how the overall sound is compared to the debut, since it simply depends on what "pile" of the songs will end up as the album. But so far everything is going towards a more darker, personal and heavy atmosphere.
Today I managed to demo-record one song as well. Hopefully next week I can do a few more.
So far so good.... I´m proud of the new songs. Some are "traditional" Angel Blake songs, and some songs are really pushing everything forward... Just the way I like it.
Oh, I almost forgot, have a killer 2007!!

Hometown gig confirmed!!
Hell yeah!!
Maybe not in the order it should have been done...
I guess we should have debuted with a hometown gig before we did the
Summer-Breeze festival in Germany a couple of weeks ago.
Well, sometimes things just goes towards a different path...
Well, fuck it, what the hell!
We´re confirmed for a hometown gig in Trollhättan
the 28/10 at SAND with the U.S band Adam West.
This will actually be our debut show in Sweden, pretty radical..!l!
This gig is an arrangement done with the Nr.1 RockClub.
Come and share a good ól melancholic sweaty pub show with us folks!!!

I just wanted to share a few things with you.
As you might know, while I created all the Angel Blake songs for the
debut album, I also
built a pro-studio. FINALLY! I´ve planned to
do it since...well I guess ever since The Crown visited a studio
for the first time. But to finally be able to do it,
I must say that it has been
a blast!
I´ve been quite busy there recording other bands, all kinds of music.
I recently updated the "Projects" page at www.studio-mt.com
Check it out, there you´ll find audio samples from every session.
It seems like the Fall-06 will be busier than ever. There´s album recordings,
mix jobs, demos etc to be done. From Psychobilly music to Death Metal.
I like that, it´s a challenge! Oh, and yeah, I guess it´s time to start
thinking about the next Angel Blake album as well. I have about 11-12
strong foundations written + some lyrics here and there. It´s basically
just about sitting down for a few days and completing the songs.
Just need to find a couple of those days...
Yes, we also did our debut show at the Summer Breeze festival
a few weeks ago. Some pics can be found here and here. Besides the fucked up technical
problems it was
a blast.
Ok, maybe Angel Blake´s music is meant to be performed
when the sun has set, but what the hell, maybe next time ;-)
Ok, I must admit, I was nervous as helllll...
The whole damned thing was recorded pro as well.
Maybe a couple of live videos will be included
as a bonus for the next CD, let´s see...

on Swedish national TV today 17.45 CET.

Hi there.
It´s been a while...
There has been quite a lot stuff happening in the AB world lately.
I´ll start with the most important stuff and hook you up with the rest of the stuff in the next
couple of days.
Ok, we´ve been busy as hell rehearsing for the Summer Breeze festival that will
take place in Dinkelsbuhn/Germany 17-19 August.
This will be the debut show for Angel Blake. And what a debut, this is a really
cool festival. I´ve played there twice with The Crown and it was awesome!!
The big news is that Christian won´t be shredding with us on this event. I guess "conflicting schedules" sums up
the reason pretty well.
The guy stepping in to deliver the metal is Anders Edlund (ex. Incapacity, Solar Dawn).
We´ve been rehearsing for couple of weeks with Anders now, and everything feels great!!!

"A couple of news... "
First of all, the video is now available.
Check out the Discography page!
There were some last minute late night editing that was neccessary, so
the video kind of changed a lot during the end... But what the hell,
it turned out pretty cool anyway.
The guestbook has been removed. Not completely though, it´s still available through
the Studio-MT website.
There´s a Forum up now instead on
the www.livingformetal.com page (thanx Bare).
And finally, Angel Blake is confirmed for the Summer Breeze festival.

"Things are rollin´"
Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but Angel
Blake´s been quite busy lately.
I guess the biggest news is that the album is out in Europe!! Very cool indeed.
I´ve been doing a lot of European press lately and next week l´ll
start
the US promotion part, since the US release is lurking around the corner.
Another cool thing, we recorded a video for the The Forsaken track a few days
ago.
But more news about that coming up later this week,
hopefully with some screenshots and behind the camera stuff.
And yeah, the reviews are really pouring in,
check ém out.
OK, I´ll get back to you later this week concerning the video.
The video won´t be a typical "performance" video, this is
something different...

Let me introduce: Angel
Blake, the band!
I'm proud to announce this strong line up for Angel Blake:
Tony Jelencovich - Vocals
Marko Tervonen - Guitars
Janne Saarenpää - Drums
Örjan Wressel - Contrabass
Christian Älvestam - Guitars
I'm sure you'll recognize some of the names. Janne, my old partner in crime
from the Crown days. I´m sure this living drum-machine dond´t
need further introduction. It's an honour to have you on board homie!!!
Tony, the man with the pipes from hell. He used to front Transport League
and today uses Mnemic to exorcise the more aggressive demons.
Christian, a long time friend, he's also active in Scar Symmetry, Unmoored
to name a few of his projects. A multi talented artist who will also deliver
some backing vocals live.
And then there's Örjan Wressel, recognize the name? I thought you wouldn't.
Örjan has not been active as a musician in the metal scene before. Angel Blake
will be his introduction to metal and all the madness that comes with it.
Örjan takes care of the contrabass duties in AB + backing vocals. Should I
mention how heavy a slightly distorted contrabass sounds?
I can't wait to go on stage to deliver some music with this very strong line-up,
it´s gonna be totally awesome!!

Back on track!!
Yes,
let´s get this album DONE!!!
Tony will enter the studio 2.00PM tomorrow and we´ll spend the next
couple of days working on the voKILLS.
I have so looked forward to this!!!
I was in the studio today recalling the mix and preparing everything for tomorrow.
It was actually pretty cool to listen to the album again, I haven´t
done it since October.
Damn, how time flies...During this "break" I have produced a demo
for Masugn and produced
the debut album
for Stolen Policecar.

But but.... no sleep íl the album is done!!! The plan is to do the
vocals, mix the album, master the cd, and send it
to Metal Blade Rec
before we go 2006.
If the gods of fortune will smile at me for the rest of the year, I promise
you a very good album in the stores during early 2006!!! Diverse, heavy, catchy,
melancholic, rockish sounds ....and a few surprises.... muahahaha...!

Vocals delayed!
As
you may or not have heard, Tony is nowadays the singer of the Danish thrash
band Mnemic.
They are right now touring the US with Meshuggah and I just heard that the
tour has been extended.
They will open for Arch Enemy from late Nov ´til early December.
This doesn´t mean that he´s out of Angel Blake,
HELL NO!
But this means that Tony won´t be able to deliver the vocals until 10th
of December.
However, I will prepare everything to the max before he starts recording the
vocals. And when his job is done, it´s basically just about mixing in
the vocals and BANG, that´s it!! Then basically UPS the master to the
hands of the Metal Blade crew... And at that point all the graphic stuff will
be 100% done. And usually Metal Blade needs about 3 months of preparing everything
(ads, interviews etc) before the release.
So, do the math... ;-)

I proudly announce!!
I`m proud as hell to launch "Studio MT".
A topnotch recording studio here in Trollhättan, Sweden!
Bye bye old faithful closet (I literally recorded the AB demos in a closet)
- welcome a new built recording facility! The first project in the studio
will be the first Angel Blake album. And the recordings will start already
next week. It´s about fucking time!!!
I have always loved the whole recording process with a band, and to run my
own studio has been a dream for a long time.
It´s going to be interesting as hell to see where this can lead...
OK, now when Angel Blake is back on a roll, expect more frequent updates!!

Finally!!!
Life´s been SO busy lately, but finally I am able to settle down by
the PC!!!
Main news: Angel Blake has signed a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records.
The teamwork continues!
I must say I´m very satisfied with the situation. The collaboration
between The Crown & Metal Blade worked great for 6 years, and I see no
reason why it shouldn´t continue in the same way. I have a huge respect
for the MB crew, and I´m sure both parties will work their asses of
making Angel Blake a name known worldwide.
I was thinking of putting up a full-length version of one of the songs from
the demo this week. I think it would be cool to share the whole journey from
the demos to the album with you all. So keep your eyes open!
The recording of the yet untitled debut album will start in the end of May!!
And speaking of studios, I have a cool news update coming up very soon. Gimme
a week and I will share it with you all.

Tony
visited my lair "Studio MT" to record some vocals. We slammed down
6 songs and the result is very satisfying.
Before this recording session Tony hadn´t heard a single vocal line
or read a word of the lyrics. But the recording took only about 10-12 hours.
Sweet!
In the next following days I will send this 7-track demo to some people in
the industry to get the wheels in motion.
I will keep you informed how things go...
