ABOUT ME
I am a visual artist based in Gothenburg Sweden working mainly with narrative video and animation. Keywords for my area of interest would be: employment, entrepreneurship, glamour, survival, avant garde-business, union strategies, competition, solidarity, new technology. Besides my personal art practice I teach at an art foundation course and sometimes I do commercial videography.

NEWS
October 22, 24: The Window Project is screened at Uppsala International Short Film Festival as part of the competition "Bäst i Sverige". Me and Andreas will be there and present the film.
February: Night Train is part of Paralelas y Meridianos a videoprogram with Swedish, Norwegian and Argentinian short films organized by Kalle Brolin, Graciela Taquini and Anna Martine Nilsen. The films are first screened at Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires and then touring to other cities.
December 10: Me and Andreas just finished the editing of a new short film, The Window Project, starring Johannes Nyholm and Karolina Pontén.
December 6: Night Train is screened at AFK Gothenburg as part of a video program with films by members of the RAD Study Group.
September 22: Amateurs (or Dilettantes) and The Birth of Manifesta is screened at tv-tv, a local, artist run TV station in Copenhagen.
February 5-8: I will participate in a workshop in Moscow with russian magazine Chto Delat.
January 24: Amateurs (or Dilettantes) and The Birth of Manifesta is part of Liljevalchs Vårsalong in Stockholm.
October 29: The Talent Community documentary series are screened at Café Pause in Ikebukuro Tokyo, as part of Jean Snow's Pause Talk series.
October: Me and Andreas Korsár is writing a script for a new film project, following last years' clay animation Night Train.
Sep 27-29: Night Train is screened at Eksjö Animationsfestival.
June 30: I just finished the editing of a new video; Amateurs (or Dilettantes)– an interview with Fred Torssander. It's about marxist critique of the term "cultural worker".
June 6: Release party in Venice for the book Taking the Matter Into Common Hands: On Contemporary Art and Collaborative Practices, edited by Johanna Billing, Maria Lind and myself. It's a collection of texts by the participants of a seminar that we did at IASPIS in 2005 and the book is published by Black Dog.
April 21: Night Train is screened at Loesje Short Film Festival in Berlin.
March 6: I just finished the editing of an interview with Manifesta co-founder Svenrobert Lundqvist. The video is 20 minutes long and it's simply called The Birth of Manifesta.
February: I did a cartoon for the last issue of Russian magazine Chto Delat/What is to be done . The theme of the magazine this time is "Reactionary Times", with texts by Brian Holmes, Dmitry Vilensky, Alan Badiou and others.
January 24, 2007: The Return Flight exhibition travels to UKS gallery in Oslo.
January 7, 2007: Read my report from the MyCreativity conference in today's issue of Göteborgsposten. It's about the emerging Creative Industries in China, based on the presentations of Michael Keane, Chaos Chen and Su Tong. (Text in Swedish).
December: I will start shooting the fourth video of the Talent Community project. It's about a restaurant/night club in Gothenburg called Uppåt Framåt.
November 24: Screening of Talent Community at the ART/WORK seminar, PAF Performing Arts Forum, St Erme, France.
November 17–18: Screening and presentation of Talent Community at the opening night of the MyCreativity conference in Amsterdam.
November 2 : The fourth episode of the New Business series will be presented for the first time in a group show at Rum 46, Århus Denmark. The exhibition is part of the previously mentioned Return Flight-workshop.
November 1: Screening of Talent Community at Galleri Box in Gothenburg, in connection to a seminar about art and self-organizing.
October 20: I just finished the third video of the Talent Community series, about the Mermermer design collective in Gothenburg. The film is called More and More and More and it's 27 minutes long.
September: New Business Episode 3 is featured in the forthcoming animation issue of Fukt Magazine. The magazine and the dvd compilation will be premiered at the Berliner Kunstsalon September 28–October 2.
June 8: The Kokokaka video is screened at Monkeytown Brooklyn as part of a film program with Nordic artists. Monkeytown is a wonderful combined restaurant/microcinema run by film enthusiast Montgomery Knott.
June 2006: I will participate in a workshop and exhibition project called Return Flight Scandinavia-New York City, curated by Anne Szefer Karlsen. To begin with, myself, Anne and fellow artists Sixten Therkildsen and Kristin Tårnesvik will stay two weeks in Harlem New York for research purposes. The project is about "the Scandinavian countries ambivalent relationship to America".
May 2006: Screening and lecture at BankART, Yokohama. The event is called Welcome To The Real World and organized by Hitomi Hasegawa, director of MIACA Tokyo.
March 2006: I will start shooting the third video of the Talent Community project. It's about Gothenburg design unit Mermermer.
Me and Andreas Korsár just finished the clay animation we have been working on for four months. The film is called Night Train and it's about a female student who travels from Gothenburg to Umeå to visist her brother at the hospital. On the train she meets a philosopher and some military guys. March 2006: Solo show at Black Box, Norrköping.
January 2006: I will be in a group show at Stockholm University Frescati called Art and Institutional Borders, organized by curator students Sofia Curman and Paola Zamora.
January 2006: Videotext, a group show at Galleri 54 in Gothenburg. I will participate with a short film documenting lectures/performances that I did the last few years.
December: I'm working on a clay animation project together with my friend Andreas Korsár. It's a sad, romantic, family drama situated on the night train to Umeå. We hope to finish the film until February 2006.
November 17-24: Hello Goodbye will be part of a screening programme at Northern Lights film festival in Newcastle, curated by Rebecca Gordon Nesbitt.
November 7: I just finished the editing of a new video called Talent Community: IO Design Office. Read more..
September 23-25: Taking The Matter Into Common Hands, a symposium in two parts at IASPIS about collaborative practice and working contitions for cultural producers. There will be a screening of my video Talent Community: Interview With Kokokaka. I am organizing this event together with Maria Lind and Johanna Billing, and I also did the webdesign for the project homepage.
July: I'm assisting my friend Johannes Nyholm in the production of a new music video for swedish punk rockers The Hellacopters. The animation is inspired by Archimboldo but in this case the working material is pizza and pizza salad. The video and single is called I'm In The Band and will be released in early August.
April 6-10: New Business and the Happiness-posters will be part of Hyper Commercial, a group exhibition at Stockholm Art Fair produced by the students at CuratorLab Konstfack.
February 24th: Open studios at IASPIS. I will present the third episode of New Business together with the poster series Happiness At Work. There is also a seminar situation where each of the resident artist will do a short presentation of their work.
February 11-13: The second episode of New Business is part of the Onedotzero
motion graphics festival at Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
January 29th 2005: The Umeå Project Group will participate in the exhibition Whatever Happened
To Social Democracy at Rooseum in Malmö. I am doing research
about the imagery of the old style and new style of Swedish capitalism,
and the Stenbeck empire in particular.
November 2004: I will be in a group show at Panorama Olot Spain curated by Martí Manen. I will show a a work called Video With Swords. There is also a seminar at Hangar Barcelona where me and Eva are invited to talk about Yeans.
October 2004: The Albanian Friend is part of BLICK 2004, a touring video program organized by Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
August 14th 2004: I will do a lecture/performance at a seminar organized by the curator students at Stockholm University. The seminar is called Empowering Institutions and I will talk about cultural planning and the Guggenheim Foundation.
