Book Description : Mahmoud Al-Bayaty, an Iraqi-Swedish writer from Baghdad, lived in Prague for 20 years before moving to Gothenburg in 1991. In his new novel, Al-Bayaty explores the themes of love, friendship, death, freedom and the religious and cultural divide between the immigrant community and Swedish society. Using clear, powerful language, he draws the reader into a fascinating, unpredictable world of human passions, where dreams and fantasy take us deep into the realm of emotion and feelings. Vividly drawn, his characters are forced to make specific life-choices and come to some surprising conclusions.

Book Description: The novel is about an Iraqi woman, Zubaida, who lives alone in Berlin. She found herself forced to watch the war on her country on TV. Since she is unemployed she cannot escape watching the news day and night. All of a sudden her past comes back and vivid memories of her childhood, her youth as well as dreams and disappointments emerge. Her present daily life is getting mixed with the memories of there and then as she imagines her friends from her early youth to come by at nights and sit with her in silence. Scenes are shifting between Baghdad and Berlin and a surreal atmosphere arises. She escaped dictatorship and was waiting to go back home one day but life took a different course and the last war on Iraq clearly showed her that there is neither a way back home nor a home left. She used to consider herself waiting in a kind of station for something to happen that would change everything and bring her back home, as most fellow countrymen of her generation in exile.

Book Description : A book of three main sectors. The first is a long study describes the life and suicide of Virginia Woolf and a critical  view on her prose including novels, short stories and feministic articles. The second sector is an Arabic translation of her  novella "An Un-written Novel" written in 1929. This novel was the only work of VW's selected to be released in Norton World Masterpieces, which is an encyclopaedia of the most famous international pieces  in poetry and literature. And this translation is the first Arabic translation of it. The third sector is an imaginary interview done with VW  50 years after her death. A collection of questions given to VW by her fans and readers and the imaginary answers were given by her critics who are experts in her work and also by the psychiatrists specialised in the mental disease which hit Woolf and pushed her to commit suicide by drawing herself in River Oues in 1941. In addition to the introduction written by the professor of  English literature Dr. Maher Shafiq Farid in which he spoke about the importance of this book and  poetic and accurate translating of Fatima Naoot, and referred to the difficulty of translating VW which is the reason behind the rareness of her Arabic translations.
