You can run SCH och PCB-views simultaneously. When you click on a node or symbol in the PCB representation, the corresponding ditto in the SCH-view will be highlighted. And vise versa. There is a high degree of symmetry between the SCH och PCB-representations in Hec.
You can also by pressing a hotkey (Ctrl-B) verify agreement.

You should be able to interchange Hec .sch files with gschem and export a Hec .pcb file to PCB. At the moment Hec does not support all gschem features like colors or rotation of symbols and texts, and it is in most cases not possible to import PCB-files to Hec.
