ACARS

One of my hobbies is collecting messages from ACARS.

Q: What is ACARS?
A: ACARS is an abbreviation of Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System.
It is a digital datalink system for transmission of small messages between aircraft and ground
stations via radio or satellite. For more info read this page.

Q: Equipment used?
A: I'm using a program called ACARSD along with 2 scanners (Uniden UBC3300XLT, MAYCOM AR-108) connected to my computer to decode and receive messages.
