WELCOME TO FRAGANCIA

Welcome aboard S/Y Fragancia, a 38 feet long Hallberg Rassy sloop, circumnavigating the world. Crewmembers onboard are Lars Akerholm and Birgitta Nordstrom-Akerholm.

We started from Stockholm in Sweden on the 1st of June 1990 and sailed that year to the Caribbean via Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, England, Spain, Portugal, Madeira and Gran Canaria, where we joined the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. We have spent over 5 years in the Caribbean and we have sailed the Windward and Leeward Island several times. We have stayed a long time in Trinidad/Tobago, Venezuelas north coast, the ABC Islands, Cartagena in Colombia and Panama. We spent two years exploring the San Blas Islands, the Pearl Islands as well as all islands up to Costa Rica.

That resulted in A CRUISING GUIDE TO PANAMA

Birgitta became an expert of MOLAS from the Kuna indians in San Blas.

Fragancia left Panama in May and sailed to Galapagos for a 10 days exploring and then proceeded via the Marquesas Islands and the Tuamotos Islands to the Society Islands. We stayed a long time in Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu. We have spent more than two years in Australia and are at present back in Sweden.
