Disney on DVD This is a very hot media right now, with a rapidly growing market. Disney has been a slow adaptor and even tried DIVX, a rental based format that seems do have drowned. Some titles have been released on DVD in Europe (region 2), but not in US (region 1), and vice versa.      In the end of 1999, Disney proclaimed that the Classic releases would be coordinated world wide and on both DVD and VHS. Now, we can only conclude that those goals has not been met . A lot of titles has been released since as VHS but not as DVD, at least in Sweden, and some films have been released in US but not in Sweden.      To get good prices in DVD pressing, early European releases contained up to 10 languages on the same disc. One version for a big part of Europe. The cover was remade in each country though, would not do, selling it with a Hungarian cover in Sweden and vice versa. ;o) But later releases in Sweden only has the scandinavian languages plus english.      The original US soundtrack is always included as the standard language. And nowadays even the original english subtitle is included!
